1939 World's Fair Sanitation Department Patch

The 1939–1940 New York World's Fair was held at Flushing Meadows–Corona Park in Queens, New York City. The NY Department of Sanitation had a large role in helping turn this former landfill into a park for the fair as well as providing sanitation services throughout the year long event. This patch is a loving recreation of the iconic one worn by sanitation workers during the fair. Embroidered, 3” round.
